As a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Santa Cruz County, I recognize that it is our covenant with one another which binds us together. As a community, we seek to grow and to enrich our own lives and the lives of those around us. To do so, we must R.E.A.C.H. together for a common purpose. In this spirit , as member of this fellowship, we covenant with one another to R.E.A.C.H., to bring our higher selves to this community.

I promise to:

• Respect others. I recognize the worth of all people. I will show others that I value and appreciate them and their ideas through my words and actions.
• Empathize with others. To slow down, listen attentively and openly, and allow for expression of feelings. I will let others know they were heard and respond with understanding.
• Accept the rights of others to express opinions and to encourage actions that may differ from my own. I will imagine how they have arrived at their point of view. I will seek accurate information from which to test my own assumptions, and will do so in a way that will maintain my personal integrity.
• Show Compassion and deep love through the humble act of forgiveness with all the members of our religious community.
• Act with Honesty, to keep my word and to speak the truth with kindness.
