The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Santa Cruz County is a community of seekers. We come together for support in following the UU Path of Love, Freedom and Service. These are central to our beliefs and our way of living. We provide a safe and caring environment for members and friends to come and learn about themselves and the world around them. We provide a community that encourages outreach, growth and deep knowing. For we all yearn, as author and educator Parker Palmer says, "to know as we are known."
SHAPING WORTH
We come together for Sunday morning worship to shape and define what is of value and worth to us. Our services focus on topics of spiritual, social and current concerns. We come together at 10am each Sunday to sing, meditate, and share our lives with one another. Our Worship is designed to meet the diversity of spiritual paths that are embraced within Unitarian Universalism. Sunday mornings offer a celebration of community, an intellectual challenge, and a deepening of the heart.
LIFELONG LEARNERS
Religious Education is a lifelong learning. We hold that religious education is a vital and important part of any life journey. Our classes offer children and youth the chance to ask theological questions and to seek answers for themselves. Providing opportunities for our children and youth to gain the experience of awe and wonder that leads to an ethical and principled life is the aim of our religious education program.
Our Youth Group (YRUU, ages 12-22) meets on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays to gather in worship, service, education and community
COMMUNITY BUILDERS
Opportunities for knowing come in many shapes and sizes. We have a number of social groups that gather regularly to provide a relaxed setting where we may meet and greet one another. These on-going groups allow for building deeper and long lasting relationships. We are also involved in several outreach projects that provide services to the local community. All of these programs encourage us to delve into our own spiritual path with commitment, reflection and honesty.
